PlayStation VR games players should look out for in 2016
Sony's line-up for the PlayStation VR is getting stronger with several announcements by the company. Sony is yet to release the PlayStation VR but if the virtual reality headset launches with these games, PlayStation 4 owners should be pretty happy with that. Sony has done an impressive job by bringing indie developers and the industry’s big names together to bring PlayStation VR titles.
The list includes games currently under works at Sony's Studio, as well as the PS4 games which have a VR variant or built exclusively for virtual reality. All the PlayStation 4 owners interested in exploring virtual reality with Sony's first gen VR headset can play these VR games coming this year.
In an interview with BBC, Sony's Chief Executive Kaz Hirai said that developers are working on 100 or more titles for PlayStation VR. No matter how strong the VR games lineup will be in 2016 and beyond, Sony already announced six very promising VR games in December 2015. The games include “Rez,” “Eagle Flight,” “Ace Combat 7,” “Job Simulator,” “Zombie Taxi Game” and “100 Ft Robot Golf.” Hirai also said that the PlayStation VR had attracted huge support from third-party games developers.
Sony previously announced that a consumer PlayStation VR model will be launched in the first half of 2016. In an interview with Gamespot, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., also said that Sony's aim was to make the PS VR’s price as low as can possibly be done.
Players can expect more PlayStation VR compatible games from developers in the next couple of months. Sony is all set to launch its VR headset and the company’s line-up of PlayStation VR games also includes titles such as “EVE: Valkyrie,” “Golem,” “Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin,” “Gran Turismo Sport ,” “The London Heist,” “Battlezone,” “Final Fantasy XIV,” “Robinson: The Journey,” “Dead Secret,” “Until Dawn: Rush of Blood,” “P.O.L.L.E.N.”
