For the movie, Magearna will not be the only Mythical Pokemon joining Ash. Volcanion will also make an appearance because of its rescue mission. Magearna has been, in fact, stolen by the corrupt minister from a yet unnamed city of gears. Without revealing Magearna’s power, the developer stated that it has a mysterious power that is powerful enough to control the mechanical kingdom.
More details are expected as the movie comes near. Hopefully, The Pokemon Company will reveal more about Magearna as a Pokemon, including moves and abilities.
In the meantime, another Pokemon title, “Pokken Tournament,” has received some more details. Three new support Pokemon pairs have been unveiled: Espeon and Umbreon, Magneton and Quagsire and Cubone and Diglett. IGN has detailed the different moves per combination.
Cubone is in charge of long-range attacks with the Bonemerang as Diglett executes Dig for landing combos. Magneton charges by lowering the speed of the enemy as Quagmire does damage with Mud Bomb. Espeon and Umbreon’s combination is interesting in that Espeon can heal status effect and restore HP while Umbreon’s Snarl can prevent the enemy from delivering critical hits.
Additionally, the Ferrum League mode has been detailed by trusted Pokemon source Serebii. The report confirmed that the mode is only for the Wii U version of “Pokken Tournament.” Going up the stages will give more support Pokemon and access to battle areas.
The league has four ranks, colour-coded in Green, Blue, Red and Chrome. All the action will take place in Ferrum region. Additionally, customisation is extensive, in that the player can change the character’s race, hair, gender and more.
Apart from the Ferrum League, the developer has also revealed four more modes. There’s Practice Mode for players to get the hang of their skills. Free Training operates in the same way, so players can train with no holds barred. Combo Dojo will allow players to teach combos to Pokemon. My Town mode is for the customisation aspect of “Pokken Tournament.”
