‘Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’ to Get StreetPass and New Anime Short
When the Latios and Latias were announced for "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," fans were informed that the way to catch these Pokemons would be through the use of an Eon Ticket. And just recently, The Pokemon Company confirmed that this item can only be obtained once you turn on the StreetPass function on the Nintendo 3DS.
According to the report, the only way to obtain an Eon Ticket is for it to be passed to you by someone who already possesses the Eon Ticket. In the U.S., Play! Pokemon League Leaders will already be given the codes that they could distribute to participants that will be conducted at various Pokemon League locations, happening on November 21.
There are also some Trainers who will be lucky enough to be the original Eon Ticket holders, as they will be kicking off the sharing event. Trusted Pokemon source Serebii reports that the developer still has to detail how one could share the Eon ticket for "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire."
Only the U.K. Eon Ticket Relay event has been detailed so far. The source states that Junichi Masuda will first give the Eon Ticket during the launch event come November 29. Fifteen winners will get the Eon Ticket via GAME stores, who in turn will spread the Eon Ticket using StreetPass. More details have been promised by the developer on November 13.
Over on the TV end of "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," fans won't be lacking in new content, as it appears that a special will be coming to Japan. Anime News Network reports that a special anime short will be aired on BS Japan TV channel.
This new anime short is said to be inspired by the "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire." It will only be a sneak peek for the special, so the anime may run in the same way as the ongoing "Pokemon XY" now, which is in junction with last year's "Pokemon X and Y" game, one that also spawned a movie.
The source adds that the short will run on November 16 alongside the "Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys" movie. For now, there is no announcement yet of whether or not the anime will run outside of Japan.
