The Pokemon Company has released more information about the awaited Mega Rayquaza during the recently held livestream for "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire." The first thing to note is that it will achieve its Mega Evolution in a unique way, though the developer has kept the unique method of Mega Evolution a secret that can be discovered when playing the game.

Over at the official "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" website, more details about Mega Rayquaza has been revealed. For instance, it will get almost all of its stats boosted upon Mega Evolution, particularly its Attack and Sp. Atk. Its ability, called Delta Stream, is one that is unique only to the Mega Rayquaza. This ability will bring in strong winds that will change the weather, and like the Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, the strong winds will remain even with powers to change the weather. However, there will be a handful of Pokemons who can do so, too.

The Delta Stream ability will fail the moves Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Sandstorm and Hail, while Drizzle, Drought, Sand Stream and Snow Warning abilities will not activate. Also, the moves that Flying-type Pokemons can fall prey to will only deal normal damage to any Flying-type Pokemon in the battle.

The Mega Rayquaza already has a number of screenshots from the game, which can be seen in the link above. But given the juicy details that the developer has withheld, there seems to be more to the Mega Rayquaza than imagined.

Last year's "Pokemon X and Y" is not out of the running just yet, as the official Pokemon website features a Halloween event called the Trick-or-Treat Battle Competition, which runs the entire of October. The event will be held for those in North America and Europe, where the event will feature the Super Size Pumpkaboo. According to the source, the Pumpkaboo will have a Hidden Insomnia Ability, which comes exclusively with the event and cannot be obtained prior to it.

Another event, according to trusted Pokemon source Serebii, is the Hoenn Pokemon NicoNico Match, which will be held for those in Japan. The registration will run until Oct. 10, with the competition's run pegged for Oct. 10 to 14. This October battle competition will feature Double Battles, so you can only use Pokemons that are numbered in the National Pokedex between 252 and 384. The big ones like Kyogre, Goudon and Rayquazza can only be used in the battles.

All of the Pokemon that you will be using in the competition will have their levels lowered to 25. As a reward for participating, 2525 Pokemiles are up for grabs.
