‘Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’ players get Legendary Zygarde, 2 Shiny Pokemon and Johto Classic competition
May is raining with gifts from Nintendo, in time for the continuing celebration of the Pokemon 20th anniversary. While Darkrai is on the main spotlight for Pokemon, there are a few other Pokemon that will come to “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” as gifts.
In the U.S., Pokemon fans can expect three Pokemon to land as Mystery Gifts via the Nintendo Network, Nintendo Life reported. Players should get any of the four games, “Pokemon Omega Ruby,” “Pokemon Alpha Sapphire,” “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” ready to receive Zygarde as well as two Shiny Pokemon.
Specifically, Zygarde will be available from May 2 to 8. On the following week, May 11 to 17, players can get the Shiny Xerneas, and finally from May 20 to 26, Shiny Yveltal can be obtained. All three Pokemon will be at level 100, and can be obtained when the player talks to the deliver game at any Pokemon Center.
Zygarde will have the Aura Break ability and the moves Land’s Wrath, Outrage, Extreme Speed and Glare. The Shiny Xerneas will have the Fairy Aura ability and the Geomancy, Moonblast, Aromatherapy and Focus Blast moves. Lastly, the Shiny Yveltal will have the Dark Aura ability and the Oblivion Wing, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse and Foul Play moves.
The Johto Classic Online Competition has also been announced. Over the official Pokemon website, the developer has stated that this competition will bring back the experience of using only the first 251 Pokemon in the National Pokedex. This means that the only allowable Pokemon are thoe obtained from the Kanto and Johto regions. But even then, Celebi, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mew and Mewtwo are not allowed.
In creating teams for the Single Battles, only three of the six Pokemon will enter each battle. Those who are qualified to join will get a yet-to-be-announced special Pokemon.
For interested competitors, they will need “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” to participate. Registration for the Johto Classic Online Competition will start on May 19. Players will also need a Pokemon Trainer Club account. The battle period will begin on May 27.
