Pokemon X and Y Comparison; Beware of Game-Breaking Bug, Trading Card Game to Feature Mega Evolution and Fairy-Type
Pokemon X and Y has gained unbelievable traction for the few days since its release, and some people may already be looking for a way to trade the exclusives to be found in each version.
While a few diehard fans may have gotten both versions, some will be looking to find someone to trade with. If you have not yet got a copy, Geek gives a rundown of which version may be better to get so you can get an advantage.
According to the report, the main thing to look at is your own preference and fighting style, which can dictate what you would be getting. Remember, as with other Pokemon games, there are two versions, and each has specific exclusives for you to enjoy.
The exclusives for Pokemon X include Staryu and Starmie, Sawk, Swirlix and Slurpuff, Clauncher and Clawitzer, Houndour and Houndoom, Pinsir, Poochyena and Mightyena, and Aron, Lairon, and Aggron. On the side of the Pokemon Y, you have Purrloin and Liepard, Skrelp and Dragalge, Heracross, Throh, Spritzee and Aromatisse, Shellder and Cloyster, Electrike and Manectric, and Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar.
Of course, there is also the exclusive box art for each: Pokemon X's fairy type Xerneas and Pokemon Y's dark flying type Yveltal. There are also Mega Evolution exclusives for each one and the type of attacks and strategies that you have when fighting using Pokemons may affect your decision with this.
But one good point that Geek presents is the fact that there is always one version that sells more than the other. The common practice is that more people tend to buy the first type of the two pairs, meaning it is likely that more people will have Pokemon X over Y.
If you are more concerned with getting all the exclusives and if your fighting strategy can accommodate any version, then getting the Pokemon Y may put you at a slight advantage. And that is having more people to trade with for the Pokemon X.
Game-breaking bug in Pokemon X and Y spotted
Lumiose City may be the central metropolis with skyscrapers and activity in Kalos, but it's better to move away from this location when you're aiming to save your current Pokemon X and Y game.
The latest finds have showcased a bug that would cause your game to freeze when trying to load the save you have done in Lumiose City. Venture Beat reports that a reboot of the 3DS will not be a good fix because you will only be caught in a loop of load and freeze.
Game Informer adds that this bug is present for both the Japanese and European version, which means that it's a pretty big issue, enough to warrant a bug fix from Nintendo. Considering that the game is pretty wildly received-4 million copies since its release is no joke-Nintendo will do well by Pokemon X and Y fans to deliver on the update.
The bug has already been captured by a number of YouTube users and these videos have been circulating online.
For now, best to do all your saves outside of Lumiose City so you don't have to lose your hard-earned Pokemons.
