Ready for another new guide for Pokemon X and Y? While there has been an influx of tips to catch Shiny (there's even the automatic Shiny Finder created in Reddit), as well as techniques to beef up your team, this tip is all about breeding the perfect IV Pokemon.

Since most of the time, breeding has to have a certain stroke of luck at your side, GameRanx's method allows you to be a little more confident with the offspring that you will get with this breeding technique for Pokemon X and Y.

Another popular anime gets its own game: See the newest trailer of Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Humanity here.

According to the report, this is a more advanced method of breeding, and one that is suitable for those who have already tried the more conventional ones. What you will need here is a male and female Magicarp and a Destiny knot.

Head over to Lumiose City to the Battle Institute to find the stats and write them down. Make sure that the pair you get don't match in IV level. Afterwards, you need to put them in the daycare with a Destiny Knot. They will bear an egg, which you will have to decline, but accept the next egg and get on with hatching it.

After this, you should check the stats of the Pokemon in Battle Institute again so you can see which IV of the parents will be inherited by the offspring, thus allowing for predictions. This will allow you to get a perfect IV Pokemon without having to rely and trust that all factors have been dealt with, as you can deal with them yourself.

Since this is an advanced method, you need to prepare a few things in advance, such as parents Pokemons that match the combination of the pattern that was already set by your Magikarp method. Otherwise, it will still be, technically, a hit or miss issue.

Here is the Reddit link where the original method can be found.

Don't expect these Pokemons to be Shiny in Pokemon X and Y

Pokemon hotspot Web site Serebii has listed a few Pokemons that are not mean to be shiny, following the rules for the Pokemon 4th and 5th generation of the game. Apparently, the Pokemons that you obtain in events are likely to not be available as a Shiny in the actual game.

The listed unobtainable event Shiny Pokemons are Celebi, a psychic/grass type, Arceus, a normal type, Keldeo, a water/fight type, and Meloetta, a normal/psychic type, all of which are event-only Pokemons. Three more Pokemons, Victini, Reshiram, and Zekrom have been coded to not be shiny for Pokemon Black/White and Pokemon Black2/White 2.
