'Poldark' season 3 DVD, Blu-ray release date; online quiz

The long wait for “Poldark” season 4 has begun, but there are fun ways for fans to remain engaged until their favourite show returns. There’s a quiz online that points at what character from the show the player is. Meanwhile, fans also get a chance to win a signed copy of the DVD boxset of all three seasons.

Viewers of the Starz show can take the quiz on SocialMediaMakesSense website. There are about 13 questions the player will need to answer by choosing one of the options given. The questions relate to general philosophy of life, goals and certain social situations.

Meanwhile, UK fans get a chance to win a signed copy of the season 1-3 boxset. In order to participate, they need to retweet the message posted on Twitter on the official page of the TV series (see below). The contest closes at 4 p.m. on the August 18.

The DVD set of the show is currently available for purchase on online stores like Amazon and iTunes. Fans can also pre-order the Blu-ray online. The Blu-ray will be released on Aug 28 in the UK. The release date for Australia hasn’t been announced yet.

Filming of next season is scheduled to begin next month. A detailed list of locations may be revealed in the announcement of filming, but the cast and crew will return to Cornwall.

If production goes without major interruptions, the TV series will return by the summer of 2018. The main cast members Aidan Turner (Ross), Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza), Beatie Edney (Prudie Paynter), Jack Farthing (George Warleggan), Heida Reed (Elizabeth), Luke Norris (Dwight Enys), Harry Richardson (Drake Carne), Ellise Chappell (Morwenna Whitworth) Christian Brassington (Reverend Osborne Whitworth), Tom York (Sam Carne), Gabriella Wilde (Caroline Enys), and Sean Gilder (Tholly Tregirls) will be returning.
