'Poldark' season 3 episode 9 preview video: Ross has battles to fight

There is a big battle coming in “Poldark” season 3 episode 9. The preview video shows Ross (Aidan Turner) fighting on two fronts. Meanwhile, the complicated love stories will also come into focus. The following article contains spoilers based on the trailer.

All able-bodied men in town will be called to stand and fight in the next episode. Ships with French flags will threaten war. Ross will be leading the defence, and he will be joined by his pirate friend and Dwight Enys (Luke Norris). The men of the town will need to be trained. No one may be able to avoid a fight.

The season so far has been rather dark, with pain and deaths all around. Will the Black Moon claim another life this week?

While the men prepare to fight, George Warleggan (Jack Farthing) will debate with Sir Francis Bassett (John Hopkins) about trusting Ross. The newly elected MP still has an axe to grind, especially since he suspects the miner as the real father of Elizabeth’s (Heida Reed) son.

Elizabeth will take Ross’ advice and confront her husband about his cold attitude towards her and “their” child. Her forceful denial of all allegations may have the desired effect on George.

Meanwhile, Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) will meet with Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse) again. The trailer shows an intense scene with Ross, in which the miner wants to focus on the real battle he has to fight for the town, and appears to be telling his wife to spare him an emotional battle at home.

Drake’s (Harry Richardson) love story will also come into focus. Sick of her husband, Morwenna (Ellise Chappell) will confess her love to Damelza’s brother. However, George’s men get involved, and there will be a lot of fighting. The preview video of the next episode has been posted on YouTube.
