Philippine authorities have launched a manhunt against a Filipino behind the smuggling of a fleet of luxury vehicles believed to be stolen from the U.S., with one expensive "chopper" belonging to a Hollywood scriptwriter.

Recovered from the warehouse of Gilbert Omulon in Talakag, Bukidnon were 24 cars and motorbikes believed to have been stolen from Texas. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has been tracking the vehicles since he vehicles had been tracked by U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation agents since last year.

Those recovered during the raid were 13 big bikes, a Chevrolet Tahoe, Corvette, 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer, two Yamaha motorcycles, two Honda CRFs, a Suzuki GSX 1000cc, a red RZR Ranger, and two all-terrain vehicles. The police also found several rounds of ammunitions and firearms, which led authorities to believe that the suspect, Lynard Allan Bigcas, half brother of Omulon, is also involved in arms smuggling.

According to the National Bureau of Investigation, the FBI suspects Bigcas of smuggling arms from the U.S. and selling them to influential people and Muslim secessionist rebels in Mindanao.

NBI director for Northern Mindanao Jose Justo Yap, said very little is known about the identity of Bigcas except that he migrated to the U.S. but hails from Talakag.

"The FBI is conducting investigation on the stolen vehicles in the state of Texas, and they were led to Bigcas' website www.albigsmotorcycle.com. He also posted his illegal merchandise on Facebook," Yap said.

Omulon was taken by authorities for questioning but he refused to talk. Bigcas maintains a buy and sell business in the province, which authorities believe, is being used as a front for his smuggling activities.

Yap added that authorities do not know the whereabouts of Bigcas who travels frequently. Philippine authorities are coordinating efforts to locate Bigcas and ultimately arrest him.
