Police wants to speak with AFL’s Ricky Nixon over sex and drugs allegations
Authorities reveal they may need to have a word with AFL’s Nixon
Victoria Police authorities have revealed yesterday that they would want to knock on player agent Ricky Nixon over the sex and drugs allegations thrown at him that have rocked the world of the AFL.
The 47-year-old said The Sydney Morning Herald left Australia Monday night in order to avoid media lenses and unwanted inquiries. Other reports however indicated that the AFL agent could have also gone to the United States amid scandalous allegations that have emerged recently.
And the police will have to wait for his return before they could get answers and give his side of the story.
''As Mr Nixon is party to these claims police will seek to interview him at some stage,'' the Victoria police said, according to the SMH.
Questions have been raised as to his involvement and the nature of his relationship with a 17-year-old girl.Earlier reports have emerged showing both Nixon and the teenager in their underpants in separate images in a hotel room.
Other images that have stormed the net over the week include white powder, believed to be cocaine or other related illegal drugs.
Nixon denied all the allegations hurled against him. He maintained he did not have sex with the teenaged girl nor did he supply her with alcohol or drugs, said SMH.
He admitted however, to having ‘inappropriate dealings’ with the teen. The SMH noted that sex between a 47—year-old and a 17-year-old is not against Victorian law.
The teen was released without charge Tuesday, following her arrest over drugs and theft charges. She is being represented by a law firm, called D.L.A. Phillips Fox pro bono.
