A young boy with seemingly mental problems outshone Pope Francis during an audience of families in St. Peter's Square over the weekend. Thing is, the good pope doesn't seem to mind having shared the spotlight with the young lad.

The unidentified boy, wearing yellow, was initially among a group sitting near the stage on Oct 26. The Pope was due to address an audience during the plenary assembly of the Pontifical Council for the Family at the Vatican.

Seemingly curious, the boy went up further the stage to stand close to Pope Francis who was seated. Not satisfied, he even hugged the Pope and kissed the cross around his neck while the latter was seated. And when the supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic faith stood up behind the podium to deliver his speech to more than 150,000 people gathered in St. Peter's Square, the boy again hugged him at his legs.

The cardinals and security personnel tried hard in vain for the boy to leave the stage, at one point offering him what looked to be like candy. Although the boy accepted it, he still did not leave.

And at one point in his tour around the stage, the boy did the unbelievable - he sat on the pope's big white chair.
