Duke University student who became a porn star to pay tuition rubbished that her parents are upset with their daughter's adult films. Porn star Belle Knox or Miriam Weeks said that her Army doctor father was not heartbroken when he came to know about her part-time X-rated career after returning from deployment in Afghanistan.

Miriam talked to Daily News on Monday and set the record straight about the matters.

"My parents aren't upset," said Miriam.

Porn star Belle Knox also stated that she wants her family to be left out of it.

"If people criticize me that's one thing, but leave my family alone," said Miriam.

An online article in the Daily Mail mentioned her parents as Dr. Kevin and Harcharan Weeks. Miriam was really upset about the false report.

Amanda Minor, the mother-in-law of Miriam's brother Paul talked The Daily Mail and compared the incident to a tragedy in the family.

"They're heartbroken, but it's not irreparable. Nothing is irreparable when it comes to the Weeks family and their love for each other," said Amanda.

However, Miriam (Belle Knox) has never met Amanda Minor in the first place.

She denied Amanda's statements about her father and family.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Miriam, in a Piers Morgan interview, talked about people being hypocritical if they judge her works as porn star Belle Knox.

"I think eighty percent of the world's traffic on the Internet is pornography. And I think that probably every single person at some point in their life has watched pornography. So I think it's extremely hypocritical that the same society that consumes me is also condemning me."

Miriam also denied claims that she pursued porn because her parent cut off her finances.

She stated that her family never cut her off.
