'Power' season 4 casting: Eddie Murphy's brother to join as prison guard
Eddie Murphy’s brother Charlie Murphy has joined the cast of “Power” season 4. The actor will be playing the role of a prison guard, and a new picture of the TV series shows a scene involving the new character.
In a picture posted on Entertainment Weekly, Charlie Murphy can be seen in a court room scene. The actor will be playing the role of a prison guard named Marshal Williams. The new character will interact with the protagonist Ghost (Omari Hardwick), who is currently in jail for a crime he did not commit.
The report notes that while James is in prison he will have to deal with the FBI, the media, and old enemies. Ghost’s biggest rivals this year are Kanan (50 Cent) and his police officer ally Jukebox (Anika Noni Rose). In prison, he will also make new friends and allies.
Will the new character Marshal Williams be a friend to James in prison? This is a recurring character that the fans will see in multiple episodes of “Power” season 4. So, the character may do more than just take the shackles off Ghost in the court room.
Murphy has been a part of many big budget Hollywood movies. His most notable movies include “Norbit,” “Black Jesus” and “Night at the Museum.” He was also involved with the game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.”
With the case going to court, it seems Ghost will be spending considerable time in prison. The plot in the first few episodes is going to focus on his life in jail, while his friends and family deal with the problems on the outside.
With James in prison, Tasha’s (Naturi Naughton) role may increase in “Power” season 4. A previously released preview picture of the character showed her visiting prison. The series is available in Australia on Stan.
