'Power' season 5 episode 8 sneak peek: Framing Dre
After a brief hiatus, “Power” season 5 will be back on air this weekend. A sneak peek video of episode 8 that has been released online shows Ghost (Omari Hardwick) having a conversation with Tommy (Joseph Sikora) about framing Dre (Rotimi) for a murder.
The investigation about the murder of Ray Ray (Marcus Callender) is heating up, and the police officers and the prosecutors are close to discovering the truth. Ghost doesn’t have a lot of time, and he has to find a way to save his son quickly.
A sneak peek video that has been released online [see below] shows Ghost telling Tommy that they have to act now to frame Dre. The original plan was to wait for Dre to take out Alicia (Ana de la Reguera), the surviving sister of the Jimenez siblings. However, with the investigators closing in on Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), they have to move up their plans.
Ghost plans to frame Dre for the murder of Ray Ray, essentially killing two birds with one stone. Ghost can’t kill Dre because of his very public association with Councilman Tate (Larenz Tate), but getting him locked up can be an effective alternative that not only neutralises the threat but also keeps Tate in control. The cherry on top will be that Tariq will not go to jail.
While this plan seems to be perfect, there will be another plan that Angela (Lela Loren) and Tasha (Naturi Naughton) will work on their own, according to the synopsis of the episode.
Angela is keen on this investigation because she too is implicated wherever Ghost is involved. Tasha’s alibi, Terry Silver (Brandon Victor Dixon), has bailed; leaving her vulnerable. Angela and Tasha will have to work together to solve the legal troubles that they will have to face.
“Power” season 5 episode 8 is titled “A Friend of the Family.”
