Powerhouse Duo Rihanna and Eminem to Perform at 2014 MTV Movie Awards Before Tour
Eminem and Rihanna are set to hit the road for their Monster Tour this summer. Before this collaboration can be seen however, the two offer a glimpse of how well they are going to work together by bringing their hit to the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, MTV.com reports.
It was just announced on April 8 morning that the powerhouse duo will be performing at the prestigious Sunday event. This is the first time that they will sing the hit single, "The Monster" onstage together. "The Monster" is part of November's Marshall Mathers LP 2 and had become so popular that it reached the first spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It will be exciting to hear the single from the duo before they start touring.
Eminem has only recently released some behind the scenes of hit single's music video. In the video, the famous rapper can be seen to be revisiting scenes from certain music videos he made earlier during his music career. Eminem however joked about this. "Redoing this scene actually brings back no memories for me because I don't remember it," Eminem joked.
The rap genius is not merely working with Rihanna. He also recently posted a picture on Instagram of Spike Lee and him together. The photo is captioned with "Spike came out to The D for the 'Headlights' video...Coming soon."
It will be exciting to see Rihanna perform serious music onstage again, who has been busy exclusively dating Drake and avoiding drama with Karrueche Tran, while fighting rumors that she is pregnant. Even though the rumors have already been dispelled by reports of Rihanna drinking alcohol again, it will be refreshing to see the Diamond singer perform on an important event again and not read about rumors about her. The fact that she is happy with Drake is bound to show on her performance with Eminem and this is exciting.
Aside from this powerhouse duo, Ellie Goulding and Zedd are also set to sing at the event. The 2014 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Conan O'Brien at the Los Angeles' Nokia Theater. It will be shown p.m. ET/PT on, April 13.
