Pregnant Kate Middleton is feeling "so-so" these days according to her husband Prince William. The 32-year-old Duchess cancelled her recent trip to the island of Malta because of her severe morning sickness and her husband Prince William had to travel alone. When a septuagenarian at the island asked William about his pregnant wife's health, the Prince replied the following.

"She's so-so, she's up and down at the moment," told William to 70-year-old Sandra Lant, who was in Malta from Suffolk, England, reports People magazine. The locals at Malta were not very happy to see the charming Prince come alone. Most of the people were expecting to see Kate Middleton in Malta and were "disappointed" that she had to cancel her trip due to her severe morning sickness owing to pregnancy. The magazine reveals that Prince William is not as famous in Malta as his wife Kate Middleton as locals were waiting to see the Duchess.

"A lot of the locals I have spoken to have said: 'Who's William?' " said another local to the magazine. "I think they would have preferred to have seen Kate." The Duchess, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is reportedly suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of pregnancy sickness, which has forced her to cut down on her social life and stay at her home in Kensington Palace in London. The Duchess was also forced to reveal her second pregnancy earlier due to this condition.

Meanwhile, Prince William did fly to Malta to be the guest of honour at the celebration of the country's 50th anniversary of independence. During his speech, the Prince apologised to the Queen of Malta for Kate's absence adding that he hopes "she'll be better soon."

The solo-traveling Prince was also asked about his son George by Malta's president Marie Louise Coleiro Preca. Preca expressed her desire to have the royal baby as her guest. However, Prince William jokingly revealed that Malta will not be able to "survive" the royal baby as there are "too many precious things around here." Prince William was reportedly referring to the toddler's antics at this age of throwing things.
