Pregnant Kate Middleton And Prince William To Break Royal Christmas Traditions Due To Duchess’ Morning Sickness--Report
Prince William and his pregnant wife Kate Middleton are already planning their Christmas Day. The royal couple is reportedly going to celebrate the festivities in an unconventional way. Instead of spending time with their family, the two have planned to enjoy the holiday season in a private manner.
Grazia magazine (via Independent) broke the news recently, revealing the royal couple's plans for this Christmas. The report notes that the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge are "breaking with tradition and will only spend part of the day with Queen at her Sandringham home." For some part of the day, Kate Middleton and Prince William will head to their new Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk, England.
A royal insider told the abovementioned publication that Prince William has already spoken to Queen Elizabeth about the matter and has expressed his desire to "do their own thing." The reason why they want to have a "low-key" private Christmas is reportedly the "acute morning sickness" that Kate Middleton has been battling since the beginning of her pregnancy. The Queen has reportedly agreed to the requests of her grandson.
Elaborating on their plans for Christmas, the unnamed insider reveals that Kate Middleton, Prince William and their son Prince George will join the family, for traditional celebrations on Christmas. They royal couple and their one-year-old baby will return to the palace for Boxing Day rituals and the "annual shoot."
Until this year, the royal couple's Christmas celebrations have reportedly been "formal" and "duty-filled" following strict timetables and instructions. The source claims that last year's celebrations with Middletons has made Prince William realised that "how much more enjoyable festive period could be and he's been campaigning with Kate (Middleton) to bring that informal flavour to the royal fold." It is said that the couple spent their Christmas Day at the Middletons' Bucklebury residence, Burkeshire in 2014.
For his private party at Anmer Hall residence with Kate Middleton and Prince George, he has planned to spend time playing board games like Pictionary and charades. Prince Harry as has also provided his inputs on how to make the event even more fun-filled. He has reportedly advised his brother to include Nintendo. Dance and music will also be the part of celebrations. It must be noted that the reports remain unconfirmed in the absence of official comments from authorities.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail is reporting that during the Christmas period, Queen Elizabeth is going to pay a visit to the royal couple at their Anmer Hall residence. The Norfolk manor is Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding gift from the queen. The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge married in April 2011 and were blessed with their first child in July 23. They announced Duchess' second pregnancy in the month of September 2014 and she is expected to give birth to her second baby in April 2015. The couple is expected to attend the lavish supper at Sandringham palace and Christmas mass at the church. After that Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly "free" to celebrate holidays at their Anmer Hall manor.
