Last Sept. 18, 2014, Clarence House made the big announcement and quietened the frenzied speculations related to Kate Middleton's first solo trip. Through their Twitter account, Clarence House confirmed that the Duchess will not be undertaking the trip to Malta. However, her husband, Duke of Cambridge, will replace her and fulfil the commitment.
In the series of tweets posted on Twitter from Clarence House account, the palace even revealed that her royal highness is still suffering from the aggravated morning sickness. Despite the major shift in the trip, the palace ensures that the itinerary for the visit will remain the same. The Tweets read:

Kate Middleton was due to visit Malta on two-day trip on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21. The much-talked about solo venture of Kate Middleton was to mark the celebration of the 50th Independence Day of the island country in southern Europe. The announcement of the Duchess' pregnancy was soon followed by the reports of her debilitating health.
Kate Middleton is suffering from condition called hypermesis gravidarum (HG). According to Yahoo, the main symptom of the sickness is "nausea and vomiting to the point of weight loss and dehydration."
The speculations about Kate Middleton calling off her Malta Trip started to swirl around after she pulled out of opening ceremony of the Invictus Games. Furthermore, Prince Harry reportedly had to cancel his 30th birthday dinner in the wake of his sister-in-law's sickness. According to Vanity Fair, the dinner was planned by the Duchess along with her sister Pippa and Harry's friend Guy Pelly.
Meanwhile, Radar Online claims to have "world's first glimpse" at Kate Middleton's baby bump. The entertainment news publication managed to photograph Duchess and her husband on her "recent night out." Last Sept. 11, the royal couple were reportedly on a cozy dinner date at King's head pub in Great Bircham.
A source told the publication that Kate Middleton and Prince William took a "quiet table in the corner" to spend time together. Four Royal Protection Squad officers reportedly accompanied the couple in an attempt to keep them safe. Their menu included healthy food such as black bream, roasted veggies covered in spinach. They completed their meal by sharing a single scoop of vanilla icecream.
