Kerry Washington is known for being very private with regard to her personal life away from the public eye but she is expecting her first child with husband San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and this news is just too big to hide. Washington and Asomugha got married discreetly on June 24 in Idaho after a year of dating and have managed to keep their private lives under wraps ever since they started dating in summer of 2012.

The "Django Unchained" star is about four months along and even before the confirmation, blogs have already speculated the possible pregnancy because of a slight baby bump. Pregnant or not, Kerry is at the peak of her career, appearing in magazine covers, starring in a very popular TV show, earning her first Emmy nomination and even hosting SNL this weekend.

Naturally, Scandal fans ask if her character Olivia Pope will also end up pregnant. Hold your horses because ABC and executive producer Shonda Rhimes are still figuring out how they will address Kerry's pregnancy on the show, Scandal. It is unlikely though that Olivia will end up pregnant. We might not get to see her amazing maternity outfits.

"I don't know. God, those are Shonda questions! I really never know where the show is going. That's the part I love about television, you just don't know what the beginning, the middle, and end is going to be, so really anything can happen," Kerry told eonline. "Olivia can die, she can get married, she can get pregnant - anything can really happen."

The pregnancy would slow Olivia and the show down. How do you think her frenemies and Gladiators would react to her pregnancy? Most likely, the production schedule will be changed and her pregnancy will be hidden but Rhimes already has many experiences in hiding pregnancies so the show will go on. Did you even realize that Sarah Drew, Ellen Pompeo, Chyler Leigh and Jessica Capshaw were pregnant in "Grey's Anatomy?"

If Olivia is going to get pregnant, however, the most likely fathers would either be: Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) or Jake (Scott Foley). Given that Jake is now planning to kill Olivia's Dad and Fitz is the POTUS and married, that could be a little controversy in family gatherings.
