Premier League: Tottenham Defender Kyle Walker Goes Under The Knife To Treat Abdominal Injury
Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker has opted to go under the knife to treat a recurring abdominal injury.
It is reported that the club took more conservative, non-invasive, measures, but apparently, it might not have been feasible for the long-term.
"Kyle is good some days. On other days he has a bad feeling," said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
"We believe he may recover soon but we need to be calm with him because it is an injury that he has had for five months."
The Sheffield native was not able to take part in the proceedings in Brazil this summer, but will be expected to gain back his slot one he gets healthy.
Meanwhile, fellow Spurs teammate Lewis Holtby will be spending his second consecutive season out on loan, as the German international was sent back to the Bundesliga as a Hamburg player.
Holtby spent the second-half of the 2013/14 campaign with Fulham, but was unable to help the Cottagers avoid relegation.
