Dominating the momentous night of ARIA Awards 2011 where sharp pointed trophies was given out, it was the Boy & Bear band which hauled in a lot of awards.

This five-piece Sydney band grabbed a total of five awards, including Best Album and Best Group, for their debut work, "Moonfire." Their record was also hailed as Best Adult Contemporary Album and also grabbed the prize Breakthrough Album. All at the same time, their very first single "Feeding Line" was named Breakthrough Single.

Other winners of the night included rapper Drapht for Best Urban Album while Birds of Tokyo took home the Most Popular Australian Artist award.

The ones that were more predictable in winning were Gotye who got the awards Best Male, Best Pop Release and Best Single for his song "Somebody That I Used To Know."

"The Living End" grabbed the Best Rock Album along with Most Popular Australian Live Act. Kylie Minogue and The Wiggles were the Aussies who got inducted in their Hall of Fame and other greats who were paid tribute well enough like Billy Thorpe.

It was Delta Goodrem who made a very touching tribute to all the outstanding Aussie artists who passed away during the last five decades that the ARIA Awards was held.
