President Obama Joins Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga & Justin Bieber among GQ’s Least Influential Celebrities 2013
The President of arguably the most powerful nation in the world ends up enlisted among the least influential people on the planet.
GQ magazine includes U.S. President Barack Obama among the least influential celebrities in the world. The most significant reason given by the magazine behind selecting the U.S. president in the list is the incapability of the White House to work with Congress, the New York Post reports. According to GQ, the Republicans can be blamed but the fact remains that lots of bad things happened under Mr Obama's presidency even though he has kept on offering thoughtful speeches on how things are going to be better than ever.
Mr Obama, who stood 17th on the list, got his company with a certain pop-star who seemed to have left no stone unturned to grab attention. It's Miley Cyrus who also claims a place among the people who influenced the least in 2013. Even though she worked hard to grab public attention, she ended up grabbing the 6th position on the list. In fact, her twerking 'oversexed' act at the MTV Video Music Awards was highly criticised by the magazine. The week did not go well for Miley, whose house was burglarised, according to Inquisitr. It was reported that many of the personal items of the singer had been stolen.
Another pop-star diva - Lady Gaga - managed to intrude into the list as she stood at the 11th position. Chef Paula Deen is at the 2nd position, and Anthony Weiner at the 3rd. Justin Bieber beat Pope Benedict XV to be at the 4th position, while the latter remains at the 5th position on the list of the least influential people, while Prince George grabs the 8th position. Another popular name happens to be actor Will Smith. Diplomat Dennis Rodman took it all as he topped the list of the least influential celebrity on 2013. The magazine called him 'the saddest lecher in American politics'.
