Although the young "Pretty Little Liar" actress always seems to ooze with confidence, Lucy Hale revealed that like other teens, she also struggled with her body image.

On the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, the 23-year-old beauty revealed that she used to struggle with her body image. Lucy admitted that there were times when she would go for days without eating or do exercise despite having an empty stomach.

"I've never really talked about this, but I would go days without eating. Or maybe I'd have some fruit and then go to the gym for three hours. I knew I had a problem," the young actress spoke out.

And while she then had her battle with her figure, she has managed to be better and happy. Lucy said that the gradual process "changed herself."

While her role as Aria Montgomery in "Pretty Little Liars" has sealed her star status, she is not a newbie in the show business industry. In 2003, she competed in a reality show "American Juniors," but then she turned into acting and landed small roles in television shows before she was given a lead part in the ABC drama series.

Talking about her boyfriend, Chris Zylka, Lucy told Cosmopolitan that she was blown away when she first saw Chris. She added that she felt an instant connection with the hunk.

"I was like, 'holy crap you're gorgeous!' It was like no one else was there. We couldn't stop talking," she confessed.
