'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 episode 11: Uber A leaves clues about identity
“Pretty Little Liars” is 10 episodes away from concluding, which means that fans of the franchise will finally learn who Uber A is after seven seasons. And as the newest trailer of the season has shown, audiences might have to consider some very surprising suspects.
The new trailer, revealed by TV Line, was a catch up from some of the most memorable events in the Liars' lives. It showed Hanna’s kidnapping of Noel, the fight between Spencer and Mona, the misdirection of Toby being A and the dramatic death of Elliott/Archer. But intertwined with the older clips were new snippets of the upcoming last episodes.
Some viewers have picked up on the idea that the new trailer might be a clue to whom Uber A actually is. And as Bustle has pointed out, one possibility is Ezra. This is not the first time that Aria’s love interest was the leading suspect, as the show threw audiences off back in season 4. The Liars eventually found out that he was just working on a true crime book on Alison DiLaurentis, but the flashback to his part in the mystery could be a telling one.
Another possibility is that Mona is Uber A. She once wore the hat of the character, so it is not all that impossible. In addition, the trailer showed a significant amount of Mona, so it could mean that she will play a pivotal role in the remaining episodes of “Pretty Little Liars.”
The publication pointed out that Mary Drake is another possibility. In season 7A, it was revealed that Mary is actually the birth mother of Spencer, so it is likely that her character is not going anywhere anytime soon. Her role in the upcoming seasons might take a darker and more telling turn.
In addition to the catch up trailer, there was also a more nostalgic-driven trailer released, which basically showcased the Liars’ friendship. “Friends share secrets,” Alison is heard on voiceover. “That’s what keeps us close.” This line has been repeated quite frequently in the series, but its meaning in the video arguably holds more meaning. The scenes that play afterwards prove just how far the girls have come. “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?” Spencer says at the end.
“Pretty Little Liars” season 7B begins on April 18 in the United States. US audiences can catch the show on Freeform, while Australian audiences can tune in to Fox8.
