Original air date on Freeform: June 20
Every fan of “Pretty Little Liars” has for years been anxiously waiting for the reveal of the identity of the mysterious character they call A.D./Uber. There have been so many theories regarding this faceless character. With so much time that has passed, it seems like producers will never reveal the answer.
At some point, fans thought it was Alison, until she showed up alive in Season 4. With two episodes remaining in this series, the mystery has to be solved fast. Press photos have been posted, and it looks like fans will finally find out before the finale airs.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “Pretty Little Liars” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.
In one of the photos, the crew is seen circled around a darkened figure sitting on a couch. Looking closely, one can see dark hair and braids that have an uncanny resemblance with Mona's (Janel Parrish). Everyone else does not look pleased either, and it seems like all eyebrows are raised as they grill her. Has Mona been the puppet master all these years?
Mona is the type who could not resist any issue with the crew, but her rumoured alter ego is a pretty terrifying character on the show. Whether or not it is really her remains to be seen when the finale airs. It is likely that it was Mona who stole the board game previously, and it looks like the crew is starting to sense what she has been up to all this time. For those who might remember, she has an uncanny fascination for mechanical games.
In a sneak peak of this upcoming episode, Mary (Andrea Parker) is seen meeting up with Spencer (Troian Belisario) for the first time since she has been gone. Spencer’s mom will tell her that she is back because she still has to deal with some unfinished business and to give a send-away present. Mary then reveals that she knows what is really happening, explaining that everyone will need lawyers soon.
Actress Shay Mitchell does not deny or admit any of these rumours, as she said that AD could be anyone. She is just excited for people to find out A.D.’s real identity.
“Pretty Little Liars” airs on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Free Form. In Australia, it airs on FOX8.
