Rihanna's choice of wardrobe was finally dress appropriate as she attends "TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World" in New York. And for the formal event, she tugged along a very special date, her mother.

While she would most likely slip in a more revealing outfit, Rihanna chose to mellow down as she wore a girly pink Vivienne Westwood ball gown. The singer has made it to the list fo TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2012.

Other famous people who are included in the list are Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton, Tim Tebow, Jeremy Lin and a lot more.

Rihanna also performed at the prestigious event but also chose a more demure outfit. She wore metallic top and bottom pants paired with a side swept wavy hair and neutral makeup.

The Barbadian born singer brought along her mum with her for the special occasion. And while she is at the party, Rihanna still managed to keep everyone updated via her Twitter account.

"Well....2nt consisted of us singing Bob Marley, drinkin Vintage Scotch, and my mom thinkin a joke abt Kutcher was appropriate! #Thxtime100," the singer tweeted revealing her mother's joke about her recent rumor.

Her mother's joke didn't seem to annoy the singer as she later on tweeted a photo of both of them together in the back of a car. Rihanna has been linked to Kutcher after she was photographed leaving the actor's place as early as 4 a.m. in the morning. However, she denied all the intrigues saying that she is happily single.
