Pretty Woman: Japanese Netizens Notice Beautiful Crimean Attorney-General
Next to the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, the world has been following political developments in Europe as 97 per cent of Crimeans just opted to leave Ukraine and join Russia.
U.S. residents are watching what will come next after U.S. President Barack Obama refused to accept the results of the referendum. Mr Obama told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Crimean vote breaches the Ukrainian charter and was made under duress of military action from Russia.
Amid the tense political atmosphere, Japanese netizens instead chose to focus on the captivating beauty of the new attorney-general of Crimea, 33-year-old Natalia Poklonskaya.
Her press conference got 140,000 hits since it was reposted to a Japanese YouTube channel on March 13, while numerous Japanese males commented on social media on her physical beauty.
While she is dressed in a military attire in her press conference and presented a stern face, rocketnews24 showed her soft side with Ms Poklonskaya posing sexily wearing a tiny black dress while resting on a red sofa and wearing a tube blouse in another photo.
One commenter wrote that she is his type of a woman, while another pointed out that "Ukraine has such a high percentage of devastatingly beautiful women. This is a battle I cannot avoid. Be right back, going to Crimea."
Another said the AG is gorgeous, while one commented she has the deadly combination of beauty and brains.
"She's definitely pretty, but I'm more surprised at how young she is," wrote one commenter.
Before her appointment as AG, Ms Polonskaya was chief prosecutor at a department of the Main Department of the Attorney General in Simferopol.
Prior to the lovely AG, Ukraine also had a very pretty but tough female prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, who was recently released from jail and serves as the country's Opposition leader, although she is a little older than the Crimean AG as she is in her early 50s.
