NY law firm sues Prince for $700k legal fees
The “Purple Rain” singer Prince has reportedly failed to pay an estimated $700, 000 in legal fees, according to a legal firm at Manhattan, New York City.
In a lawsuit filed by Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, the Manhattan firm revealed that the pop star has not paid the cases it handled in Ireland, California and New York.
The legal firm also said in its documents filed at the state Supreme Court in Manhattan that Prince has also not paid the firm when it represented him in his divorce cases, noting that the singer has only paid, $125, 000.
The Associated Press said in its report that the phone at Prince’s own venture, the Paisley Park Enterprises, Inc. has gone unanswered when sought for comments.
Prince is known for his hit single, “When Doves Cry” (1980s) and “1999”. Unknown to most, the singers real name is Prince Rogers Nelson.
