Prince George shakes hands with President Barack Obama; Rides rocking horse he received as gift
Prince George got an opportunity to shake hands with US President Barack Obama. The President and the First Lady are on a state visit to the UK and they visited the royals at the Kensington Palace for dinner.
Pictures posted on the official Facebook page of The British Monarchy show Prince George in his pajamas greeting the President, while his father Prince William and mother Kate Middleton look on. The President and his wife also met Prince Harry at the Kensington Palace.
Another picture shows Middleton talking to her son, while the others are engrossed in their own conversation. The wooden horse that Prince George is riding in the photo was a gift given to him by President Barack Obama at the time of his birth.

There appears to have been a little drizzle when the President and his wife arrived at the palace. Prince William was waiting to receive them near the main door and the President walked in with an umbrella in his hands, along with the First Lady.

The picture of Prince George meeting President Obama appears to have generated a lot of interest online. The Facebook post of the picture has already received nearly 400 thousand “likes” and over 33 thousand comments. Many of the fans observed how good the little prince looked and how precious the photos are.
After their initial meeting and the photo session with Prince George, the royals had a casual meeting with their guests before dinner. The President and the First Lady are on a four day visit to the UK and they also met with the Queen for lunch to mark her 90th birthday.

President Obama’s main agenda for the visit is to discuss UK and the situation with the European Union. He held meetings with several leaders in the UK to encourage them to stay in the grouping. However, his picture with Prince George appears to be the highlight of this trip.
