Prince Harry, Cressida Bonas Update: Rumours Say She'd be a Cruise Ship Godmother
Cressida Bonas will get to be the godmother to a cruise ship if she marries into the royal household. Royal observers say however that Bonas would have to wait for Prince Harry to propose.
E! reports that on June 13, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge christened the Royal Princess, and that Cressida Bonas will likely do the same thing later on when she and her boyfriend Prince Harry tie the knot.
Princess Diana was the godmother of the Royal Princess and Prince William's wife Catherine followed Diana's footsteps.
Captain Tony Draper later gave the Duchess of Cambridge a tour of the ship during the christening. Draper described Kate as a "beautiful lady" and a "beautiful person."
Princess Cruises CEO Alan Buckelew agrees that Cressida Bonas being a godmother to a cruise ship is an "excellent idea." Buckelew joked that he will urge the prince to "get a move on" with proposing to Bonas.
Rumours about Prince Harry proposing to his girlfriend of 18 months hit the newsstands April 2013 but picked up again in September. The rumours died down however when Cressida Bonas was reportedly not invited to Prince George's christening.
The Independent reports that the couple spent the weekend at Sandringham. A source says Prince Harry "has an extremely demanding role in the military" and that Sandringham is "the perfect place for him to unwind."The source adds that the romance between Cressida Bonas and Prince Harry is not a temporary one and that the "relationship is very special."
Speculation that the couple will tie the knot in 2014 has been rife. In early October a close pal of the couple said that Harry will propose to Bonas very soon.
A Celebitchy report quoted an insider however that Kate is worried about the relationship between the two. The insider said, "Kate worries she will freak out" adding that Kate and the rest of the royals do not want Prince Harry to get hurt.
Cressida Bonas is described as "still young" and may shy away from tying the knot. The insider says, "Cressida isn't hugely trustful of long-term commitment." Cressida Bonas's mother Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon and her father Jeffrey Bonas "have six marriages between them."
