Prince Harry & Meghan Markle spend time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte
A large group of the public has been smitten with the love story of Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle. Details about their romance have been filtering into mainstream media, the latest of which involve an all-important date with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
According to Daily Star Sunday (via Yahoo! AU), Harry set up the introductions over the weekend. He and Meghan stayed at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England. The new couple came over for some tea and biscuits and then enjoyed a walk along the royal family’s grounds.
Meghan, who was reportedly charmed by both George and Charlotte, spent a lot of time with the younger royals. “[She] was playing with them,” a source told the publication. “[They were] mucking around and [she] did silly voices and impressions.” They also noted that Kate had asked Meghan to babysit, particularly because the Duchess prefers to have family around the children whenever possible and not rely on nannies.
The same source confirmed that the children took some time to welcome Meghan, but that she eventually won them over. “George is usually an absolute chatterbox,” they explained. “But he was totally tongue-tied when he first met Meghan before warming up and giggling with her.”
Mirror UK noted that Harry had already mentioned having children before his relationship with Meghan even began. “Of course I would love to have kids right now,” he said in 2015. “But there’s a process that one has to go through.” Seeing how well Meghan did with his nephew and niece is likely to have thrilled Harry.
There has been some rumours circulating regarding Harry and Meghan’s current relationship status, with some media outlets claiming that the two are already talking about marriage. Papers have reportedly been drawn up regarding their finances, which Meghan herself apparently initiated. The 35-year-old actress is allegedly looking to keep her independence from the royal should the relationship ever go south.
From the looks of things, however, both Harry and Meghan are completely smitten with each other. Meghan has been spending a lot of time with Harry in the United Kingdom, and he has been introducing her to some of the most important members of his family. But until either of them or Kensington Palace announced an engagement, nothing can be said for sure.
