Now in its ninth week, MJ's oldest son Prince is the first to testify from Jackson's family in a lawsuit claiming that the acclaimed music star received an overdose of drugs.
The case was filed by Jackson's mother, accusing concert promoter AEG Live LLC of collaborating with Michael's physician Dr. Conrad Murray and injecting Jackson with high doses of propofol, an anesthetic.
The case was filed in August 10 and Prince, his brother Prince Michael and sister Paris Michael are plaintiffs in the case filed by their grandmother, Mrs. Jackson, who is in charge of Michael's children.
AEG has denied allegations that it hired Murray to overdose Jackson with a drug and that it has no involvement in the singer's death.
Prince had already testified in an earlier case that accused AEG Live of using Murray's services in a negligent fashion. Murray was later charged with involuntary manslaughter for injecting Jackson with an overdose of drugs.
During the court hearings, Prince Jackson said he was not aware of how he was taking care of his father, but that it was his job to take care of him.
He also described heated conversations between AEG CEO Randy Philips and Dr. Murray, and an incident when Philips grabbed the doctor's elbow.
However, both AEG and Murry's attorneys said off the record that such a meeting did not take place.
The first few minutes of Prince's testimony included photos and videos of Jackson's kids. Some of the videos were shot by Jackson himself. He described what it was like to be raised by a superstar and the distressing events that occurred before Michael's death.
