American singer-songwriter Prince recently showed up at a match in the 2014 Roland Garros French Open tournament.

Prince watched the quarterfinals match between Rafael Nadal and Dusan Lajovic. He was seated at the presidential box in the main stadium at Roland Garros, Wralsportsfan.com reported. According to the Web site, Prince watched the entire match from the beginning until Nadal rattled Lajovic in three straight sets.

"Stayed till the last note of Nadal's easy win, too," wrote the Web site.

"When the match ended, Prince rose to leave. As he walked toward the exit, though, he paused and paid his respects by applauding."

According to Evous.fr, Prince was in town for a series of concerts. He probably took some time off his tour to watch a little game of tennis.

Prince had two concerts to promote his new album called Plectrum Electrum at Le Zenith in Paris on June 1, where he performed with his all-girl band 3RDEYEGIRL.

Prince's concert in Paris was announced only two weeks before the event, giving fans only a few days to scramble to the venue to buy the tickets. Standing tickets were reportedly sold out instantly. He played all his hit songs for an hour and 25 minutes.

Here's a low-down of what Prince's concert as told by a concert reviewer.

"The show is divided in several parts: He's Rock with lots of guitars and Prince is kicking ass when he's on the 6-strings. Dance: with a sampler-medley part, that is less interesting...Lover when he's playing the piano but whatever he's doing it's always Funky."

"We're all a bit disappointed when he's leaving the stage for the first Encore after just 60 min. He's back for 25 min more ending his set with "Purple rain". 85 min in all, even though the show was kicking ass, many felt cheated."

Prince will be headlining three more shows after his gig in Paris. He will have a concert at Germany, UK, and Austria.
