Prince William needs the permission of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton before he can take Prince George to witness a football match. The Duke of Cambridge admitted that Middleton is the one who takes the decisions about their kids.

Prince William was interviewed by Gary Lineker, Match of the Day presenter before the match between Aston Villa and Arsenal at the FA Cup Finals. The Duke revealed that he would hope that his son George will support the Birmingham team and they would attend the future matches together.

During the interview, he was asked when he was going to take Prince George for his first match of football. “I don’t know, I’ll have to pass that by the missus, see how I can get away with it! At the moment, being only 22 months, it’s a little bit early,” Prince William said (via Telegraph).

The Duke said that he would allow George to support any team he wants, but it would be “fantastic” if he supports Aston Villa. However, Prince William is confident that his daughter Princess Charlotte would be by his side and support Aston Villa.

Also, he talked about he started following Aston Villa in school. He said that all his friends were either the supporters of Chelsea or Manchester United, but he went for Villa which he said was less “run of the mill.”

Prince William is the president of FA and he would be giving the cup to the winning team. He stated that he would be “terrified” to witness the match. Currently, Arsenals have the title and he mentioned that fans from the rival team had been teasing him.

Lineker said that he was delighted to interview the Duke of Cambridge and he appreciated his genuine excitement for the upcoming final match between Aston Villa and Arsenal.
