Princess Eugenie Steals Kate Middleton’s Spotlight, Duchess Old Fashioned Christmas Outfit Not A Big Hit
Dubbed as the 2014's most stylish woman, Kate Middleton took a back seat with her Christmas outfit as Prince Eugenie enjoyed the limelight with her fitted white dress coat and stunning fuchsia hat. The two royals attended the Queen's annual Christmas day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk with the rest of the Royal Family.
Looking immaculate as ever, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived in the Christmas service holding hands with Prince William dressed in a brown tweed coat by Moloh and pillbox hat by Lock and Company. Although she did not create a lot of buzz with her old fashioned Christmas style, the mother of one is still making a statement with her brown heel shows, Cornelia James gloves and finished her ensemble with Catherine Zoraida earrings.
"While there was nothing wrong with the look, the muted colour and fabric was a little old-fashioned," according to My Daily. "Particularly in comparison to Princess Eugenie's fresh, modern look, which saw her don a fitted white dress coat paired with a pretty fuchsia hat. Well played Eugenie."
Based on the Daily Mail report, the 24-year-old royal had flown over from New York where she is currently based to join the royal family for the holidays. The seventh in the line of succession to the throne accompanied her sister, Princess Beatrice, to the service to represent their parents, Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York.
Eugenie moved to the Big Apple in September to work at online art auction house, Paddle8, leaving her boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, and family behind in London. Launched in 2011, the auction house is targeting the "21st-century collectors" and have been backed by Jay Jopling, Damien Hirst and Matthew Mellon.
Meanwhile, the pregnant Kate Middleton flaunts her baby bump as she greeted a crowd of well-wishers who gathered in front of the chapel and waited for hours in the cold just to catch a glimpse of the royals. The Duchess also joined her parents Michael and Carole Middleton, together with her siblings in the Christmas service and hosted them for the first time in Anmer Hall for Christmas luncheon.
