‘Prison Break’ revival: New season would be incomplete without vicious T-Bag; C-Note returns too
Fox’s “Prison Break” reboot is bringing back original cast members, and fans are extremely happy about it. After Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre) gave his word of return via Instagram, Robert Knepper (T-Bag) and Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note) have also confirmed their series return.
[Spoiler Alert] “Prison Break” fans are now totally satisfied to see their favourite fans back for the revival. The new season, consisting of nine episodes, will pick up after clues emerge that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) may be alive, even though he implied he was dead when the previous season ended.
This will make Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) reunite with Scofield’s brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) to engineer the greatest escape ever. This will somehow pull back Fox River State Penitentiary’s escaped convicts T-Bag, C-Note and Sucre.
According to Variety, Dunbar is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates and Levity Entertainment Group, Knepper is repped by Innovative Artists and Link Entertainment, and Nolasco is repped by Innovative Artists and Untitled Entertainment.
Shooting is scheduled to begin next month. “Prison Break” revival will be executive-produced by original producers Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz and Dawn Olmstead. Production is set to begin next month in Vancouver.
Fox TV CEO and co-chair Dana Walden earlier said in January that the “Prison Break” reboot won’t be a domestic show but will unravel on an international landscape. She promised all the twists and turns in the new show that fans had come to love and appreciate.
It was previously announced that Tancredi would be seen in the new season as settled with new husband Scott Ness (Mark Feurstein). However, tensions may appear between the two when Tancredi will find out that Scofield is alive. Details of how Scofield returns from the dead have been kept under wraps and nobody knows how he will deal with his brain tumour.
The new “Prison Break” series will kick off later this year or early 2017.
