‘Prison Break’ season 5 sneak peek: ‘Imposters’ actress Inbar Lavi dishes on new role
“Prison Break” season 5 gets a whole new character, Sheba, who has been described as someone to be “involved with Lincoln” in the upcoming season of the show. “Imposters” actress Inbar Lavi will be playing a Yemini activist named Sheba. Lavi plays con-artist Maddie, who robs men and women of everything, “including their hearts,” in “Imposters.”
The 2017 season of “Prison Break” will have previous cast members from the original series reprising their roles. These include actors Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield), Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows), Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr Sara Tancredi), and Robert Knepper (T-Bag). Other crucial cast members who will be seen in “Prison Break” season 5 include Rocmond Dunbar (Benjamin Miles Franlin) and Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre).
A deal is still in negotiation with cast member Paul Adelstein, who played former Secret Service agent Paul Kellerman in the series’ revival season. Adelstein is the co-creator and executive producer of the 2017 TV show “Imposters.” The show will also have three other new cast members Rick Yune, Augustus Prew and Steve Mouzakis, according to a Deadline report from last year. That being said, their roles have yet to be revealed.
Inbar Lavi recently talked about her character in “Prison Break” season 5. The character’s story "could not be more relevant to us right now,” Lavi said in her interview with the Daily Dish. “It is a crucial highly important story that we have to share with the world. We have to give these people a voice now more than ever, and I am so, so, so delighted and proud to be able to be that voice for them."
Talking about her “Imposters” colleague, the actress said she wasn’t even aware that Adelstein was on “Prison Break” before. She admitted that she had only seen the pilot episode of the show before becoming a cast member. “Like, I signed on, and all of a sudden someone told me and I realised that he's on it,” she said. “And it was just a big surprise and such an excitement."
“I actually got to see him on set one day in Vancouver,” Lavi said further. “So we were both in our 'Prison Break' costumes, and we were hugging and taking photos and reminiscing about 'Imposters' and we couldn't wait to get back to set. It was so wonderful to have him there.”
The “Imposters” actress further gave some sneak peek of “Prison Break” season 5 with some photos from the set through her Instagram account. The series fifth instalment arrives April 4. An Australia release date hasn’t been announced yet.
