‘Prison Break’ Season 5 spoilers: Dominic Purcell reveals Michael Scofield ended up working with ISIS and ISA
The production set of “Prison Break” Season 5 has returned to Vancouver after three weeks of shooting in Morocco, where Dominic Purcell, who plays Michael Scofield’s (Wentworth Miller) brother Lincoln Burrows, suffered a major accident that could have got him killed.
[Spoiler Alert] The badass actor recently revealed incredible plot details that have got fans excited to the core. As per the actor, Michael Scofield, who was presumably dead, ended up working with terrorist organisations such as ISIS and ISA. The show will be taking place in Yemen. Morocco served as a double for the place.
“It’s tying into what’s going on in the world today with terrorism. The show is taking place in Yemen; we’re dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead. He wasn’t, he ended up working for this organization. It got to the point where he couldn’t do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind. He didn’t change his mind, they set him up,” Purcell told Deadline.
Purcell added that Paul Scheuring wrote all the nine episodes of the series. Purcell promised that “Prison Break” fans will be blown away by the new season’s plot. He teased that the storyline looks like a cross between American Sniper and Bourne Identity.
“Paul Scheuring has written all of the nine episodes. Honestly, the fans are going to be blown away by this. It’s really a riveting, high-tension thriller. It’s an extraordinary, extraordinary show. I’ve seen the dailies of it, and it looks like a cross between Bourne Identity and American Sniper. It’s crazy. It’s really, really cool,” Purcell said.
There will be a scene where Purcell will run into the Yemen prison when all inmates will be running out. The situation will be brought about by a collapse in regime in Yemen that will open the prison gates. Purcell would be running inside the prison to look for brother Michael.
It seems “Prison Break” Season 5 will be hell of a ride when it releases in spring.
