Priyanka Chopra’s Single Exotic Inspires Launch of Exotic Milkshake
The top Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's second international single 'Exotic' is inspiring the launch of a milkshake with the same name.
Also, the actress' fans on Twitter will get the opportunity to help decide the flavour and ingredients of the milkshake. According to Hindustan Times, the actress will ask the fans what ingredients they would like as part of Exotic milkshake and based on the replies, the actress will ultimately decide the final ingredients.
The Exotic milkshake is slated for a launch on July 25, 2013. "On July 25, Priyanka will be in Los Angeles to launch the Exotic milkshake," according to a source cited in Hindustan Times. Exotic milkshake will be part of the menu that has more than 50 celebrity inspired milkshakes. "This is a popular concept in Hollywood, where a lot of actors have personalised their own milkshakes," the source said.
The single, from the actress' first international album 'My City', also features American rapper and songwriter Pitbull. In an interview given to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Miss World describing the concept behind 'Exotic' video said, "It's exotic. According to me, exotic is beaches and sun and dancing. It's a summer song, a summer anthem. Its really about feeling hot and sexy. I am from Mumbai; Pitbull is from Cuba -- and we meet in Miami."
Bollywood actresses are rarely called on to sing for a Bollywood movie because singing is a territory marked for playback singers. However, Priyanka Chopra is looking beyond the Indian shores to make her mark as a musical artist. She made her debut at the international musical arena with the debut of her single "In My City" on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.
"People are just shocked that I can actually sing. I mean actors don't really sing in India. So that is the very first feedback I got everywhere -- whoa, you can sing!" the actress told The Hollywood Reporter.
"The response to "In My City" in India was quite good. It sold 130,000 copies in its first week and was certified triple platinum in about a month and a half of release. I am very proud of the song. So now it's great to come out with 'Exotic'."
Currently, the actress is shooting a cabaret dance sequence for the movie Gunday. "We started shooting for the particular cabaret song three days ago in Mumbai and there is three more days to do. It's a fresh cabaret song and not a remix of any old song. It's a very big sort of cabaret song in the film," Ali Abbas Zafar, director of the movie, told India Today.
