Now that Simon Cowell has publically come out with his pregnant lover Lauren, the X Factor boss has is reportedly busy picking up names for his unborn child.

Cowell has told his friends that he would like to name the child after his father Eric Cowell who has a major role in shaping his television career.

The 53-year-old has reportedly spent five days with Lauren Silverman, who is bearing his first child, in the French Riviera. The couple returned back in time for the launch of the "X Factor" this weekend.

Though the sex of the baby is still not revealed but the media mogul is clear on his choices. "If it's a boy, Simon wants to call him Eric and if it's a girl Erica," a friend of the couple told Daily Star.

"If it's a boy, Simon wants to call him Eric and if it's a girl Erica, after his dad, who meant the world to him"

The friend also added that the name would be a tribute to Simon Cowell's dad whose full name was Eric Selig Phillip Cowell, who was an estate agent developer and music industry executive. Though the couple has not decided on anything but Lauren seems to be in favour of Simon's suggestion.

"Lauren has not decided yet, but is taking Simon's input very seriously. She likes the name Eric as it is unusual in America and quite stylish," the source said adding that Lauren feels Erica would be a "cool name" for the girl too.

Earlier this month Simon Cowell did not seem to accept the fact that he is actually becoming a dad. A shell-shocked Cowell appeared to shy away from the media and refused to comment on any news related to Lauren Silverman and his baby. Silverman, who already has a son from his first husband, was undergoing divorce at that time but now is over with it.

The couple were spotted kissing and cuddling by the beach in the South of France in last five days and did not shy away from displaying their action in public. On their return Lauren was soon moving into Cowell's house. So is the couple starting a new life together?
