The PS4 has gotten another update in the form of the 1.71 firmware update. The almost 200-MB item is mostly a fix for and improvement of other features for stability issues.

As an update for bug fixes, it seems to be pretty big. But, according to DualShockers, there are a lot of improvements that are very noticeable after the PS4 1.71 firmware update is installed.

There's the now-solved issue of the DualShock 4 where the vibrate feature is turned off every time the console is put on stand-by mode or turned off. Overwriting of previous saves of a game to a player's PlayStation Plus is now made possible without the prompt message for manual override.

One more improvement is users can now up the number of invited friends to 16, though the party chat will be open only to the eight friends.
