PS4 Accessories and More Games Revealed; Call of Duty: Ghosts PS4 Upgrade Mechanics Revealed
Despite Sony's announcement that they will not be officially bundling any games with the PS4 console, there are other accessories that are worth looking over with regard to Sony's console bundles when they release on November 15 and 29.
The Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has finally announced two accessories that you can also purchase once the PS4 rolls out. The accessories include the DualShock 4 Charging station and the PS4 vertical stand.
Electronic Theatre reports that the DualShock 4 charging station is equipped to handle two DualShock 4 controllers at a time using mounted ports. The device will be available for £24.99.
The PS4 stand will also be able to handle two controllers and will ensure that you will not have falling controllers when you are not playing your game. The vertical stand will have lock dials for the controllers. The stands will sell at £15.99 apiece.
New games feature samurais and sports
Sony has been continuously announcing games as the PS4 release date draws closer. This time, two more titles have been added to the roster, starting with a new samurai game titled Samurai Gunn. Albeit another independent title, Samurai Gunn will bring back the nostalgic sense of the past, as it is an 8-bit game that can pit you against one samurai or as many as three others.
Samurai Gunn is basically a test of how you are with the sword and the gun, though it is more of a test of swordsmanship than aim accuracy with a gun. You avoid becoming prey to the bullets and your one goal is to make sure that you are the only standing after the battle is over.
According to Eurogamer, this is as far as you can get from the trigger-happy games, as you not only have limited rounds, strategy is oftentimes the only friend in the battlefield. The moment you are already facing off with another opponent, you are already locked down to a battle to the death.
It is a pretty straightforward game, with all the blood and side-scrolling that you could hope for. But best of all, it's about settling fights the samurai way-letting the sword speak for itself and being ready to die at any moment.
Samurai Gunn is slated for the PS4, PS Vita, and the PC, with an earlier release this year for the latter, and a 2014 release for the former two Sony devices.
Another game aiming for the PS4 is NBA Live 14, and EA has recently announced its release via Twitter, reports Polygon.
A release date of November 19 has already been announced for the next-gen consoles, though it is not a launch title for the PS4. But this also means that it will be immediately available for the Xbox One on launch day.
Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PS4: Plans for upgrade
Activision is making sure that your transition from the PS3 to the PS4 when playing Call of Duty: Ghosts is as seamless as possible.
GameSpot reports that the publisher has already announced the details on how gamers can expect to go from one platform to the other, as well as the different ways to do so.
The first involves the physical PS3 copies of the COD: Ghosts, which are said to contain a redeemable code so you can get the Call of Duty: Ghosts PS4 digital copy for only $10. Any digital copy of the game from the PlayStation Store is automatically available for the upgrade, but there is a time limit to when you can redeem it, which is on March 31, 2014.
If you want other discounts, online retailers also have their own bundles involving the upgrade from PS3 to PS4.
But the biggest discount that you can get is the Call of Duty: Ghosts season pass. When purchased before May 31, 2014, you can easily get the PS4 upgrade along with four DLC packs and a Team Leader content pack for multiplayer customisation for only $50.
