Microsoft has offered a preorder bonus of unlocking the 0G Achievement as though enticing Xbox 360 players as well as potential PS4 market audiences to go for the Xbox One,

This achievement is an exclusive one, alongside the benefit of having the Xbox One delivered to you on day one of the release.

Videogamer reports that players can get this achievement once they preorder the Xbox One at the Microsoft Store by using the Xbox 360 dashboard and unlock the achievement once they make the necessary transactions.

This is supposedly a reward for opting for the most powerful console ever made, though it's almost a given that many would question this fact.

Others have commented that this may be another one of Microsoft's way to put itself above Sony's PS4 in terms of offers and exclusives. Or perhaps it is a follow-up to the reversal policy of last week, wherein it made headlines for abolishing two of its (mostly) hated policies on used games and DRM requirements.

Halo teaser wasn't Halo 5--what is it?

Those who were excited about the Halo teaser that Microsoft showcased at the E3 2013 thought that there was finally some progress with Hao 5. After all, after rumors of developments that turned out to be different projects, this particular teaser seemed like the game they were waiting for.

Apparently not. VG 24/7 reports that what has been showcased was actually a first-person shooter game that would be slated from release in 2014, but it's not necessarily Halo 5.

"There was no ambiguity in not putting a number after the game," said Microsoft Game Studios VP Phil Spencer. "For me, what we showed wasn't the game. Nobody should be confused on that."

Since there were no announcements made at the E3, of course people had expected it to be the Halo 5, never mind not having the number. Some speculations have thought that it might be akin to the way Thief is going about with its own franchise.

Spencer did give another potential project, this time in the form of a Halo 2 Anniversary game, but whether it will just be a rehash of a previous Halo game, or one fresh and reinvigorated one remains to be seen.

Crackdown 3 for Xbox One?

The Crackdown sequel has been released way back in 2010, and since then many have thought that there won't be many, if any, other continuations or tangential releases of the game.

However, back during the Xbox One's reveal last May, some have spotted a nod to the Crackdown game, and have inquired if it was an accidental shot left on the screen.

According to Eurogamer, Microsoft Studios executive Phil Spencer has confirmed that it was not an accident.

"No, I don't think Crackdown is dead at all. It's a franchise that's still close to me," said Spencer said to Eurogamer. For me, the natural progression or a game like Crackdown--and you see this showing up on our stage--is in these living, open worlds that live in the cloud."

Does this suggest that Crackdown will be touching down for a third play that makes use of the power of the Xbox One's cloud? The more important question would be who would create the game, as the developer who had worked on the sequel, Ruffian Games, has denied working on the third installment.
