PSG Eyes Chelsea’s Forward Andre Schurrle
There has been a buzz going on inside Paris Saint Germain, which was caused by the interest stirred by the reportedly surprise move of Chelsea over their out-of-favour attacker, Andre Schurrle in January. This reported move from Chelsea is intended to bolster their attack once they come back this January for the Premier League.
Bolstering Chelsea's attack as well as their defence is very important especially considering the team's top slot at the Premier League. Chelsea surely wants to defend their slot by not giving in to any form of vulnerability.
Chelsea's 24-year old World Cup winner has been the apple of the eye of Paris Saint Germain as reported. There is a good basis for it considering that the 24-year old jumped started this season's five games for the Blues and successfully ended by completing the Premier League's 90 minutes.
Paris Saint Germain is desperately looking to increase their odds in order to retain their Ligue 1 title and this move from Chelsea would be their open opportunity for grabs. Andre Schurrle has been seen by PSG as the guy to fire PSG away from the counter-guys like Marseille. Everything seemed to be a strategy and this is the same for most other teams.
Andre Schurrle has a great track record to back him up. He has already scored two goals at the Premier League. He was however reportedly annoyed by his lack of game-time. This was probably because the lack of game-time does not seem to counter the cost of the Blues which is apparently at 18 million pounds.
Schurrle has played Chelsea's first half during a match against Southampton. But, his performance is quite a disappointment considering how it did not create that much impact for Chelsea as the first half ended in a 1-1 draw with Southampton. Schurrle failed to score a single shot against the target.
It is good to remember that Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea have long standing good relations when it comes to their transfer relationship. David Luiz for instance is manifest to this relationship, as he completed an astounding 50 million pounds transfer from the Blues to the Ligue 1 champions.
