Python Was a Birthday Spoiler for Canadian Boy About to Turn 7
Connor Barthe will not be able to celebrate his birthday on Aug 23, 2013 as he was brutally killed by a 45kg African Python. Connor was about to be 7 and was waiting to get in to the second grade this year.
His younger brother, Noah, was apparently overjoyed by the fact that he would join his brother at the kindergarten as he was scheduled to start going to school from this year. He was 4 years and a half. Both of them would have studied together in Lord Beaverbrook School.
Noah and Connor were no different from any other normal children. They loved to play and have fun just like any other typical child of their age. According to David Rose, the uncle of the young children, they spent the last day of their life playing with their friend in the backyard. They enjoyed the pool. They even had a barbecue on their last day.
Jean-Claude Savoie, the father of their best friend, took them for shopping along with his own son in the afternoon. Each one of the children had separate carts that they filled with treats. Both the families went to Mr Savoie's farm where the children played with horses, goats and llamas.
They even played with cats and dogs. They had a ride after that in the tractor that belongs to the farm. Mr Savoie even allowed them to steer the tractors. They were elated to spend their in such an adventurous manner. They had a sleepover session at Mr Savoie's house. Both the families were together until midnight.
On the other hand, destiny had different plans for them. Mr Savoie who was responsible for all the fun the children had at the farm will be remembered for being sloppy enough not to watch out for his pet snake for the last 10 years. His pet python came out of its cage and strangled Noah and Connor Barthe to death. Since the python was exclusively handled by Mr Savoie himself, it was his responsibility to ensure that it was kept securely.
The police have already started criminal investigation since the incident involved the tragic death of two innocent children.
