To better serve its three geographical divisions' operational structure, QBE Insurance Group Ltd (ASX: QBE) said on Monday that it is implementing management shake up for the company's major executives.

The company said that Vince McLenaghan will soon take the post as QBE's chief executive for Australia Asia Pacific and he would be under the direct responsibility of overall company chief executive Frank O'Halloran.

Mr O'Halloran in turn is tasked to supervise the insurance company's European operation through chief executive Steve Burns and its business operations in the Americas with John Rumpler taking the helm as the division's chief executive.

On the other hand, Mr McLenaghan would still oversee the country's largest insurance company's operations in Asia Pacific with the division's current chief executive Michael Goodwin directly under his wings.

Mr O'Halloran said that QBE presently maintains three major divisions with an overall gross written premium income of $US4.5 billion or $A4.89 billion as he expressed happiness that a proven insurance executive such as Mr McLenaghan is set to lead the company's sprawling Australia Asia Pacific operations.

With the senior executives' average tenure of 15 years with QBE, Mr O'Halloran expressed confidence that the company would be handled by able and trusted managers.
