‘Quantico’ Season 1 episode 10 ‘Inside’ recap: Simon’s plans used for Grand Central bombing
The secrets of the NATs (new agent trainees) are revealed during an emergency disciplinary hearing at Quantico. The actual culprit behind the Grand Central Station bombing is revealed in episode 10 of “Quantico” titled “Inside.” Simon Asher (Tate Ellington) confesses that the Grand Central bomber used a plan he designed while he was a NAT.
The ousted NAT says that he did not intend for the amount of destruction that happened during the bombing.
Simon tells his classmates and Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis) that he had intentionally made some flaws in his plan. “Somebody stole my plans, fixed the flaws and used them for themselves,” he says. Alex (Priyanka Chopra) meets Simon at his home, but he refuses to help her.
Later, when he enters his home Elias Harper (Rick Cosnett) is seen to put chloroform on his nose, TV Line reports. Even Alex was chloroformed the same morning when the Grand Central attack took place. Viewers have to watch the next episode to find out if it is a mere coincidence or there is more than what meets the eye.
Meanwhile, Nimah accuses Simon of being a war criminal but he says he was only a translator for the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces). When Nimah questions him further, he breaks down and says he did not realise what he was doing.
Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) tries to help his colleague. He tells how he has become an agent, but unfortunately he refers to the moment when he and Simon engaged in a fight with the latter pinning him to the wall. Simon is thrown out of Quantico, while Nathalie Vasquez (Anabelle Acosta) is allowed to continue.
During hand-to-hand combat earlier in the day, Alex sees Natalie’s “scar” start to peel off. Alex asks her about it, but she asks Alex to mind her own business. A field counsellor also saw Nathalie’s peeling scar during the workout. It turns out that her boyfriend was abusive, and in order to gain custody of their kid, she fakes a scar.
During a video chat with Shelby Wyatt’s (Johanna Braddy) half-sister, Caleb Haas (Graham Rogers) learns that she is swindling Shelby. She breaks down to tears on learning the fact. Meanwhile, Raina is seen on the surveillance camera visiting the terrorist leader from Queens in the hospital and kissing him on the head, Entertainmet Weekly reports. It is the same person the twin sisters helped infiltrate.
Elsewhere, coming to Ryan and Alex’ relationship, the couple dance and speak about their feelings. Ryan prepares to leave for his assignment in Los Angeles. There is lot of emotion in the air as Ryan says: “I’ve never said ‘I love you’ when I really wanted to.” But, Alex is coy and says she never said it to him at all.
Next week, it is the fall finale of “Quantico” Season 1. Stay tuned for the finale spoilers and to know who the real bomber is.
The show airs at 10 p.m. on Sundays on ABC in the US.
