Queen B and Jay-Z Welcome Newest Addition to the Family
The Queen B has finally given birth and this time it's for real. Welcome to the hippest R'nB family, Blue Ivy Carter.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z finally welcome the newest addition to the family. Former Destiny Child singer Beyoncé gave birth by C-section Saturday night in a private wing of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Friends of the couple immediately took off to the Twitter rampage.
"Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih," tweeted singer Rihanna.
Other music stars also took to Twitter, sending their congratulations to the couple and their first child, including Russell Simmons and singer-actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
What else went down at the New York's City hospital? A few sources say that music royalty Jay-z rented the whole fourth floor of the Upper East Side hospital under the name "Ingrid Jackson" last Friday night. $1.3 million is surely just a small price to pay for the hospital rent alone.
This rapper took privacy to a whole new level ensuring that no cameras and videos were allowed at the whole fourth floor. Hospital workers, including doctors, had to turn in their phones before the start of their shifts, a source told the New York Daily News. Also, during Beyoncé's stay, nurses and even doctors were restricted to enter any units on the fourth floor from 11 p.m.
Jay-Z proves he is one awesome husband to Beyoncé, and with the looks of how his little girl is getting all the medical attention she needs; it seems like she'll be one hell of a spoiled little kid. The high-profile music couple is definitely one to think things through.
The two have been dating for more than six years before finally tying the knot in 2008. It took them three years to finally decide on having a baby and by the looks of it - it's about time that they did.
"My husband and I have been together for 10 years," said Beyoncé on Australia's "Sunday Night" show. "All of my 20s. I feel like it is time... and I'm so happy."
Beyonce and Jay-Z's happiness is upped on a whole new level because their household will finally be filled with more than rap and hip-hop music.
