As the United States celebrated the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, many people resorted to social media to criticise a restaurant in South Carolina for kicking out 25 African-American customers to leave because their presence is "threatening" to a single white customer.

South Carolina's Wild Wing Café was placed under social media scrutiny for allegedly racist actions. The restaurant's shift manager told Michael Brown and 24 family members and friends to leave, according to a CBS report. Mr Brown and his group were celebrating in Wild Wing Café since it was his cousin's last day in town.

Right in the middle of their celebration, the shift manager told the group to leave because one white American felt "threatened". When the manager noticed one of Mr Brown's companions catching the exchange on video, the group was told to leave immediately.

Mr Brown told the media they were alarmed about the incident since they have been in the restaurant for two hours and stayed there in peace. In his Facebook post, he urged people not to patronise Wild Wing Café for its obvious racial discrimination.

He also said he and his group waiting for two hours before they were seated. Mr Brown said "the manager looked me dead in the face and said she was refusing us service because she had a right to and simply felt like it."

He encouraged Facebook friends not to support the restaurant and share his post to put a stop to racial discrimination.

Reports said the restaurant chain contacted Mr Brown to apologise for the incident and offered to give them free meals. Wild Wing Café's chief marketing officer Debra Stokes said she talked with Mr Brown and said they had a "good conversation".

Since Mr Brown's Facebook post, thousands of people have already shared his story to their own network of friends and some posted on the restaurant's Facebook page to urge people not to patronise Wild Wing Café.
